Two years ago, my Mom and I started A Pierogi Lady. For me, it was going to be a way to buy some things I wanted. For my Mom, it was an entrepreneurial lesson for her 15 year old son. Mom started by showing me how to make pierogi. Every single part of our pierogi is handmade. So, in the beginning, we started at the beginning....with Grandma's pierogi recipe.
Mom was unrelenting in her lessons. We use only fresh farmers cheese. We grate our onion. We even shred our sauerkraut. Our Polish pierogi combine the traditional with a touch of contemporary.
